Operating from Dubai — a premier international business hub — the company serves private sector clients, implementation companies, engineering providers, communication service providers and infrastructure investors with a primary focus on Africa, Latin America and South America.

1990s
Studied at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. Participated in construction of Macau International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport.
2000
Relocated to Luanda, Angola. Core contributor to the creation of UNITEL, now Angola's largest mobile operator.
2009
Appointed founding CEO of Angola Cables. Positioned the company as a leading player in the international telecom wholesale market.
2009–20
Led commissioning of three submarine fiber optic cables — WACS, Monet and SACS — and two data centers: AngoNAP Luanda and AngoNAP Fortaleza, Brazil. Secured Angola Cables' membership in the World Economic Forum.

Managing Director & Founder

An electrical engineer by training, António Nunes brings over 27 years of progressive international experience across telecommunications, infrastructure, energy, project management and executive leadership. He studied at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany.

A key figure in the construction of both Macau International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport, he later relocated to Angola where he contributed to founding UNITEL, the country's largest mobile operator. From 2009 to 2022 he served as CEO of Angola Cables, overseeing commissioning of three submarine fiber optic cables (WACS, Monet, SACS) and two data centers, establishing Angola as a pivotal node in the global digital infrastructure ecosystem.

Nunes secured Angola Cables' membership in the World Economic Forum and was nominated to the Data Economy: Power 200 List of Most Influential Leaders. He currently holds leadership roles across ANTOSC, Anglobal Cabo Verde, 4Spiro, Proef Energias Angola and BIGLE.
